Job Description: Design Engineer – Speciality Valves (Oil & Gas)
Company Overview We are an established engineering firm specializing in high-performance flow-control solutions for severe-service upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas operations. We design and manufacture custom, mission-critical speciality valves engineered to perform under extreme pressures, harsh sour gas environments, cryogenic temperatures, and high-abrasion conditions.
Position Summary We are seeking a Design Engineer with 5+ years of core experience specializing in PTC Creo Solid Modeling and IFS ERP . In this role, you will be responsible for creating robust 3D solid models, parametric family tables, and complex assemblies for custom speciality valves (such as severe service ball, choke, double block & bleed, and subsea check valves), while ensuring full integration with Oil & Gas industry standards and IFS ERP data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Mandatory Creo Solid Modeling: Develop high-precision 3D solid models, complex assemblies,
and production drawings using PTC Creo Parametric (Solid Modeling) . Build fully parametric models using family tables, advanced solid feature history, and accurate geometry constraints for valve pressure-containing parts.
- IFS ERP Data Management: Build and maintain engineering data within IFS ERP , including multi-level Engineering Bills of Materials (EBOMs), part master records, revision levels, and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Oil & Gas Standards Compliance: Design all solid components in strict compliance with API (API 6D, API 6A, API 607, API 6FA), ASME (ASME B16.34, ASME Section VIII), ISO, and NACE/ISO 15156 standards for sour gas service.
- Calculations & Validation: Perform wall-thickness, stem-torque, and pressure-containment calculations. Execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on Creo solid models and perform tolerance stack-ups for metal-to-metal sealing integrity under severe thermal/pressure cycles.
