About the Role

We are looking for someone to handle day to day accounting and compliance in-house. The work is hands-on and operational: keeping the books updated, raising invoices, processing payments, and completing statutory filings on time. This is an individual contributor role and you will handle the function independently.

Responsibilities

Books and records
- Allocate and categorize transactions in Zoho Books and keep the ledgers updated
- Bank, card, and payment gateway reconciliations, including multi-currency accounts
- Maintain vendor and customer ledgers, advances, and balance confirmations
- Maintain the fixed asset register

Invoicing and receivables
- Raise and send customer invoices
- Track ageing and follow up on collections
- Flag overdue accounts as they come up

Payments and payables
- Vendor bill entry and verification against POs and contracts
- Schedule and process vendor payments
- Employee reimbursements and petty cash

Payroll
- Run monthly payroll along with statutory deductions
- Full and final settlements

Statutory filings
- GST:



monthly and quarterly returns, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC tracking, annual return
- TDS: deduction, challan payment, quarterly returns, Form 16 and 16A
- PF, ESI, and Skilled Tax
- Advance tax computation and payment
- ROC and MCA annual and event based filings
- Coordinate with the external auditor and tax consultant for schedules and queries

Dubai entity
- Maintain books for a UAE free zone entity, coordinated with our UAE consultant
- Corporate tax and VAT filing support, along with ESR and UBO submissions where applicable
- Inter-company transactions and reconciliation between entities

Qualifications
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, or M.Com / B.Com with hands-on compliance experience
- 2 to 4 years of practical accounting experience. Articleship at a CA firm followed by industry experience is the ideal mix
- Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, including monthly closing
- You should have filed GST and TDS
