About the Role
BRIVIN Solar is building a centrally managed Solar EPC business focused on residential and commercial solar installations, with growing capabilities across Solar PV, hybrid systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
We are looking for a Solar Design & Technical Engineer who can take technical ownership of both Solar PV and battery energy storage system design.
This is not simply a drafting or AutoCAD role. The person should be technically sound, understand customer energy requirements, design appropriate solar and battery systems, select equipment, prepare engineering drawings and BOMs, and provide technical support through installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solar PV Design & Engineering
- Design residential and commercial rooftop Solar PV systems.
- Analyze electricity bills, load requirements,
consumption patterns and available site area.
- Determine appropriate plant capacity based on technical and customer requirements.
- Prepare module layouts, string configurations and inverter sizing.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical drawings and system architecture.
- Conduct or review shading analysis and energy-generation estimates.
- Prepare detailed project-wise Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Optimize system designs for performance, safety, reliability and project economics.
2. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Design
- Design battery storage solutions for residential and commercial applications.
- Analyze load profiles, critical loads, peak demand and required backup duration.
- Calculate battery capacity considering load, autonomy, efficiency, Depth of Discharge (DoD) and operating requirements.
