Job Description Position Title Application Support Engineering (ASE) Experience 4-8 Years Location Mumbai Role Summary We are looking for a skilled Monitoring & Automation Engineer with strong expertise in ITRS Geneos. The role will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise monitoring solutions while driving automation initiatives across technology operations teams. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Geneos architecture, gateway setup, netprobes, samplers, alerting frameworks, dashboards, integrations, and operational automation using scripting technologies. Key Responsibilities ITRS Geneos Administration & Engineering Administer and maintain the ITRS Geneos monitoring platform. Configure Gateways, Netprobes, Samplers, Rules, Actions, and Alerting mechanisms. Design and implement monitoring solutions for applications, infrastructure, and middleware platforms. Build and maintain Active Dashboards and custom monitoring views. Develop monitoring standards, templates, and best practices. Perform platform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Integrate Geneos with enterprise tools and notification systems. Automation & Tooling Develop automation solutions using Python, Shell Scripting, or Power Shell. Automate monitoring deployment, configuration management, health checks, and reporting processes. Design reusable frameworks to reduce manual operational effort. Develop integrations using APIs and automation workflows. Create automated dashboards,



reports, and operational metrics. Monitoring Strategy & Governance Define monitoring standards and onboarding processes. Work closely with infrastructure, middleware, cloud, and development teams to establish monitoring requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within monitoring and observability platforms. Ensure monitoring coverage and operational effectiveness across the technology landscape. Required Skills Mandatory Robust hands-on experience with ITRS Geneos Administration and Configuration. Experience with Gateway Hub, Netprobes, Rules, Samplers, Active Dashboards, and Alerting. Strong Linux/Unix administration knowledge. Experience with Python, Shell Scripting, or Power Shell. Knowledge of monitoring and observability concepts. Experience with REST APIs and integrations. Preferred Exposure to Splunk, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, Grafana, ELK, or similar monitoring platforms. Experience with Ansible, Git, Jenkins, or CI/CD tools. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of ITIL processes and operational monitoring practices. Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Key Deliverables Stable and optimized ITRS Geneos platform. Improved monitoring coverage and alert quality. Increased automation across operational processes. Reduction in manual effort through tooling and automation initiatives. Standardized monitoring onboarding and governance framework.
