About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Developer with 5–7 years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable, production-grade native Android applications. The ideal candidate is proficient in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, MVVM/Clean Architecture, and multi-module development, with strong expertise in REST API integration, dependency injection, Gradle, and testing.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise in modern Android development, including Play Store release management, performance optimization, offline handling, and production support. Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), Firebase, and modern development practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across backend, QA, product, and DevOps teams, will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, test, debug, and maintain production-grade native Android applications using Kotlin.
- Build scalable and responsive UI using Jetpack Compose.
- Implement application architecture using MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modular design patterns.
- Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit/Ktor and implement dependency injection using Hilt, Dagger, or Koin.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, offline handling, and user experience.
- Manage multi-module codebases, Gradle configurations, build variants, dependencies, and version catalogs.
- Own Play Store releases, including build, versioning, publishing, and production deployments.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain high standards of code quality and security.
- Collaborate with backend, QA, product, and DevOps teams across the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to technical decisions, R&D; initiatives,



and KMP adoption for shared business logic.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-call support during marquee events and critical releases.

Background and Experience:

- Minimum 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in native Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose.
- Strong understanding of MVVM/Clean Architecture and multi-module Android applications.
- Experience with Hilt/Dagger/Koin and Retrofit/Ktor.
- Knowledge of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP); practical experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Android Gradle, build variants, dependency management, and version catalogs.
- Experience with Firebase and REST API integration.
- Hands-on experience with Play Store release management and production deployments.
- Proficiency in Git, GitHub, and Maven repository/artifact management.
- Experience building and supporting Android applications with a meaningful user base.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
