Role Overview
- Job Title: Cutover Manager – SAP S/4HANA Implementation

The Cutover Manager will lead end-to-end cutover planning, rehearsal, execution, and post-go-live stabilization for a SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role coordinates business, functional, technical, data, security, infrastructure, and third-party teams to ensure a controlled, low-risk transition from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA within the agreed cutover window.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the integrated cutover strategy, detailed cutover plan, business milestone calendar, and command center operating model.
- Coordinate technical, functional, data migration, security, infrastructure, integration, and business readiness activities across all workstreams.
- Lead mock cutovers and production cutover execution, tracking task ownership, timing, dependencies, risks, issues, and completion status.
- Define and manage Go/No-Go criteria, escalation paths, contingency plans, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure cutover prerequisites are complete, including UAT readiness, data migration validation, access readiness, transport sequencing, and interface readiness.
- Support post-go-live hypercare transition, open-item closure, and lessons learned for future rollout improvements.
Must Have Skills
- 8+ years of experience in SAP implementation or ERP transformation programs, including hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
- Proven experience leading at least 2–3 end-to-end SAP cutovers, including mock cutovers, production cutover, go-live, and hypercare transition.
- Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology, cutover planning, data migration, transport management, interface sequencing, and business readiness.
- Ability to manage detailed cutover task lists with owners, dependencies, start/end times, status tracking, and escalation paths.
- Experience coordinating across technical, functional, data, security, infrastructure, integration, business, and third-party teams.
- Solid stakeholder management, executive communication, risk management, and issue-resolution skills in high-pressure go-live environments.
- Experience with project planning and tracking tools such as MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
Nice to Have Skills
- SAP Activate, PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project/program management certification.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition programs.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, high-tech or other complex, multi-site business environments.
- Experience with cutover automation or orchestration tools such as SAP Solution Manager, Focused Build, Natuvion CORA, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting global deployments across multiple regions, time zones, and business units.
