Job Summary

The Storage Administrator (L2) is responsible for the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise storage infrastructure. The role supports SAN, NAS, storage arrays, backup environments, and associated storage networks while ensuring availability, performance, and data protection compliance. Responsibilities align with SAN/NAS provisioning, storage allocation, backup operations, and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and maintain enterprise storage environments (SAN, NAS, DAS).
- Perform storage provisioning, expansion, reclamation, and decommissioning activities.
- Configure and manage storage volumes, LUNs, file systems, and shares.
- Perform SAN zoning, masking, mapping, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Administer NAS protocols including CIFS/SMB and NFS.
- Monitor storage utilization, capacity, performance, and availability.
- Troubleshoot storage incidents, performance issues, and hardware failures.
- Support firmware upgrades, patching, and storage-related change activities.
- Manage backup and recovery operations and support restoration requests.
- Perform health checks and preventive maintenance activities.
- Work with server,



virtualization, database, network, and application teams for issue resolution.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

- Storage automation using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.
