Field Application Engineer – Aprisa

Position Overview

Join us as Lead Field Application Engineer for Aprisa and lead the adoption and success of our RTL-to-GDS implementation platform across APAC. You'll combine deep expertise in digital implementation and physical design with strong leadership and customer engagement skills. In this role, you'll lead a team of Field Application Engineers, drive strategic customer engagements, enable production deployments, and guide product direction through customer insights. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor to semiconductor customers implementing advanced-node designs while accelerating long-term business growth for Aprisa.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead technical strategy and execution for Aprisa evaluations, competitive opportunities, and customer deployments
- Define evaluation metrics, success criteria, and adoption roadmaps that drive customer value realization
- Drive successful production deployment of Aprisa within customer design environments and development methodologies
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Application Engineers with focus on technical excellence and skill development
- Resolve complex technical issues and escalations in partnership with Global Support, Product Engineering, and R&D; teams
- Collaborate with Product Management and R&D; to influence product roadmaps based on customer requirements and market insights
- Serve as the senior technical escalation point for critical customer engagements and strategic accounts

Qualifications:

Required:





- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in physical design, digital implementation, applications engineering, or semiconductor design
- Proven expertise in advanced-node RTL-to-GDS implementation flows and placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, timing closure, and power optimization
- Experience supporting customer deployments, tool evaluations, and technical sales engagements
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and relationship management skills

Preferred:

- Hands-on experience with Aprisa or other place-and-route platforms
- Knowledge of Calibre, Tessent, DFT, static timing analysis, and low-power methodologies
- Experience with AI-enabled EDA workflows and automation initiatives
- Prior experience leading strategic customer engagements in the semiconductor industry
- Understanding of semiconductor market dynamics and competitive EDA landscapes
