Job Title: Medical Officer

Location: Kalchini block, Alipurduar district

Reports to: Project Manager

Works closely with: Project Manager, Clinic & Camp Coordinators, Community Health Workers, and visiting Specialist Doctors (Diabetologist, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician)

Salary: Rs. 75,000/- per month

Initial contract duration: Three (3) years

Project Overview

To improve access to preventive healthcare, mass population screening, and primary care for ~21 K people (out of total ~38 K population) from ~7.6 K households across 7 villages of 2 contiguous GPs in Kalchini block of Alipurduar. This includes screening and management of hypertension and diabetes (men and women aged 30 years and above), antenatal and postnatal care, and home-based newborn care and children below five years of age.

Role Summary

The Medical Officer will be based in Kalchini and provide full time, doctor-led primary healthcare across the two fixed clinics and weekly outreach camps that anchor the Integrated Community Health Program.
