We are looking for experienced Rope Access Technicians to support wind turbine blade cleaning operations. The role involves working at height using rope access techniques to safely and efficiently clean turbine blades and tower components.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wind turbine blade and tower cleaning using rope access techniques
- Set up and dismantle rope access systems as per safety standards
- Operate cleaning tools such as soft washing systems, water hoses, and eco-friendly chemicals
- Inspect blades for visible damage and report findings to supervisors
- Follow all site safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and rescue plans
- Work closely with drone/ground teams during hybrid cleaning operations (where applicable)
Requirements:
- Valid IRATA / SPRAT Level 1, 2, or 3 certification:
- Minimum 1-3 years of rope access experience (wind turbine experience preferred)
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights (up to 120m+)
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning or blade maintenance is a plus
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions
- Willingness to travel and work on rotational projects
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Experience in wind turbine blade inspection or minor surface cleaning
- Familiarity with pressure washing or soft wash cleaning systems
- Basic understanding of blade surface materials (GFRP / CFRP)
