We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer specialized in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks to lead the design and development of specialized fire trucks, rescue vans, and emergency response machinery. This role involves transforming conceptual requirements into precision 2D layouts and complex 3D assemblies.

Key Responsibilities
- Design & Modeling: Create comprehensive 3D models of vehicle chassis, superstructures, and integrated components (e.g., water tanks, pump systems, locker compartments) using SolidWorks.
- Technical Documentation: Produce detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), weldment schedules, and assembly instructions using AutoCAD.
- Engineering Integration: Design the integration of fire-fighting equipment such as high-pressure pumps, monitors, foam systems, and hydraulic rescue tools.
- Fabrication Support: Collaborate with the production floor to troubleshoot design issues and optimize fabrication processes for sheet metal and structural steel.

Ensure all designs meet relevant safety standards and RTO (Regional Transport Office) regulations for special-purpose vehicles.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (Top-down assembly, Sheet Metal, and Weldments) and AutoCAD (2D Layouts and Schematics).
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in heavy vehicle body building, specialized truck fabrication, or industrial machinery.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Solid understanding of hydraulic systems, pneumatic circuits, and the structural integrity of mobile platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex assemblies with hundreds of unique parts without compromising accuracy.
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Attributes
- Experience designing for government tenders or defense-sector projects (e.g., SDRF, Army, or State Fire Services).
