A Wireman installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems. They read blueprints, ensure compliance with safety codes (e.g., NEC), and troubleshoot malfunctions using tools like multimeters, conduit benders, and wire strippers to ensure safe power distribution.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Installing electrical wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, and power outlets.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Maintenance & Repair:Performing routine inspections to identify hazards, repairing electrical systems, and replacing damaged components.
- Troubleshooting: Using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to diagnose faults and test circuits.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all electrical installations adhere to local, state,



and national electrical codes.
- Panel Assembly: Assembling and wiring electrical control panels for machinery or building systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or technical school training or electrical apprenticeship is usually required.
- Experience:4-8 years proven experience as a Wireman, Electrician, or in a similar electrical assembly role.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of electrical circuits, wiring practices, and electrical codes.
- Tools: Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
