Educational Qualification
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
- 4 to 7 years of relevant procurement experience
- Industry Preference
- Mandatory: Steel Industry background
- Role & Responsibilities
- Handle end‑to‑end procurement activities including PR to PO cycle.
- Manage Capex and Opex procurement, including:
- Capital equipment
- MRO items (Maintenance, Repair & Operations)
- Spares and consumables for steel plants/projects
- Execute vendor finalization, negotiation, and order placement independently.
- Manage post‑order activities, including:
- Delivery tracking and follow‑ups
- Payment requests and coordination with Finance
- SRR clearance
- Handling quality issues and claims
- Closure of debit balances and commercial reconciliation
- Handle import procurement activities, including documentation, follow‑ups, and coordination.
- Manage and administer contracts for capital equipment procurement.




- Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs, timelines, and internal controls.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, Finance, and Stores.
- Systems & Technical Skills (Critical)
- Hands‑on working experience in SAP MM module (mandatory):
- PO creation
- Payment requests
- LC requests
- Vendor-related SAP transactions
Note: Only hands‑on experience will be considered; basic knowledge is not sufficient.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (mandatory):
- Complex formulas
- Data analysis and reconciliation
- Procurement tracking reports
