We are looking for a Leather Quality Controller to monitor and maintain strict quality standards across all production stages — from wet blue to finished leather.

Key Responsibilities

1. In-Process Inspection
- Inspect leather at Wet Blue, Crust, Dyeing, and Finishing stages.
- Check shade uniformity, softness, fullness, and grain tightness.
- Monitor thickness accuracy and area yield.
- Identify defects such as loose grain, wrinkles, vein marks, patchiness, scratches, uneven dyeing.

2. Final Lot Approval
- Conduct 100% or AQL-based final inspection.
- Grade leather as per company standards.
- Approve or hold lots before dispatch.
- Coordinate rework if required.

3. Physical & Basic Lab Monitoring
- Check shrinkage temperature (wet blue).
- Monitor pH and neutralization control.
- Check dye penetration and fixation.
- Maintain lot-wise inspection and test records.

4. Root Cause & Corrective Action




- Identify source of quality issues.
- Work closely with Tanning, Dyeing, and Finishing heads.
- Suggest preventive measures to reduce rejection.
- Support continuous improvement in yield and consistency.

5. Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain inspection reports lot-wise.
- Ensure traceability.
- Support LWG / ZDHC / buyer audits when required.

Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in leather quality control.
- Robust knowledge of wet blue and finished leather.
- Clear understanding of common leather defects and corrective actions.
- Practical exposure to drum processing and finishing.
- Basic Excel and reporting ability.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
