Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts and day-to-day accounting records.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and other financial transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports.
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
- Assist with TDS calculations, returns, and related compliance.
- Assist in preparation of income tax computations and returns.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable activities.
- Verify invoices, vouchers, bills, and supporting documents.
- Assist in audits and provide required documents and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients to obtain accounting and compliance-related information.
- Identify discrepancies in accounts and assist in resolving them.
- Maintain proper documentation and records as per firm requirements.
- Stay updated with applicable accounting, GST, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification.
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime and/or other accounting software.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, and income tax compliance.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a CA firm will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with income tax and GST portals.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and audit procedures.
