A Scaffolder is responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures used to support workers and materials during construction, maintenance, or industrial operations. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding systems (tube & fitting, system scaffolds, suspended scaffolds).
- Inspect and maintain scaffolding to ensure stability and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and method statements.
- Ensure scaffolds comply with safety regulations and load-bearing requirements.
- Install guardrails, toe boards, ladders, and safety nets.
- Work at heights safely using proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on site.
- Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Perform routine checks and tagging of scaffolding (green/red tagging systems).

Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of scaffolding materials and erection techniques.




- Understanding of safety standards (like OSHA or local regulations).
- Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
- Valuable balance, strength, and stamina.

Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent or ITI (preferred).
- Certification in scaffolding (e.g., basic/intermediate/advanced scaffolding training).
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience (depending on level).
- Experience in industrial sites (refineries, plants, power stations) is a plus.

Safety Requirements
- Mandatory use of PPE: helmet, harness, gloves, safety shoes.
- Knowledge of fall protection systems.
- Awareness of risk assessment and permit-to-work systems.

Work Environment
- Construction sites, factories, refineries, or infrastructure projects.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Requires working at significant heights.
