Job Purpose The Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of various types of industrial pumps and associated mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of industrial pumps.
- Dismantle and assemble pumps and their mechanical components.
- Carry out replacement of mechanical seals, bearings, bushes, couplings, gaskets, and other spare parts.
- Perform pump alignment with motors and other connected equipment.
- Check pumps for abnormal noise, vibration, leakage, overheating, and other operational problems.
- Troubleshoot pump-related mechanical faults and attend breakdown maintenance.
- Inspect and maintain valves, couplings, shafts, bearings, and related components.
- Carry out pump overhauling and preventive maintenance as per maintenance schedules.
- Check and maintain proper lubrication of bearings and other moving parts.




- Assist in installation and commissioning of current pumps.
- Use mechanical tools and measuring instruments properly during maintenance work.
- Maintain proper housekeeping at the work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use the required PPE.
- Maintain basic records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Perform other duties related to pump maintenance as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI in Fitter / Mechanical Fitter trade preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial pump maintenance will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of centrifugal and other industrial pumps.
- Knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, couplings, shafts, and pump alignment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical pump problems.
- Willingness to work in shifts and attend breakdown maintenance when required.

Work Location: John Distilleries Pvt. Ltd., Cuncolim, South Goa, Goa Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
