Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies using SolidWorks . SolidWorks is mandatory. Create accurate 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings as per engineering requirements.

Develop designs for machined, sheet metal, fabricated, and assembled components . Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), part lists, specifications, and other engineering documents . Convert customer requirements, product concepts, and engineering inputs into practical and manufacturable designs .

Apply appropriate dimensions, tolerances, GD&T;, surface finish, material specifications, and manufacturing requirements in engineering drawings. Review drawings and designs for accuracy, manufacturability, assembly feasibility, and compliance with specifications . Coordinate closely with Design & Development, Production, Quality, Procurement, and other departments for smooth product development and manufacturing.

Modify existing components, assemblies, and drawings based on engineering changes, customer requirements, production feedback, and quality issues . Support prototype development, sample preparation, testing,



inspection, and product validation activities. Identify and resolve design-related manufacturing, assembly, dimensional, and functional issues in coordination with relevant departments.

Prepare design solutions and engineering modifications to improve product quality, manufacturability, cost, and reliability . Maintain proper drawing revisions, engineering change records, BOM revisions, and document control as per company procedures. Review and verify drawings before release to production to minimize design errors and manufacturing issues .

Provide technical support to production and quality teams regarding drawing interpretation, dimensions, tolerances, materials, and assembly requirements . Ensure timely completion of assigned design and development projects while maintaining required quality standards. Maintain proper records of design inputs, outputs, revisions, approvals, and technical documentation .

Perform any other engineering/design-related tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
