Role Summary
Eze Perfumes is looking for a data-obsessed, results-driven Marketplace Growth Manager to join our Mumbai-based global operations team. Your primary mission is to own the P&L; and scale our brand presence across major US marketplaces, with a primary focus on Amazon (FBA) and Walmart (WFS).
This role requires a unique individual who can sit in Mumbai but think like a US consumer. You will be responsible for the entire marketplace lifecycle—from strategic inventory planning and cross-border logistics to high-performance PPC advertising and AI-driven listing optimization. You will act as the "CEO" of our US marketplace channels, ensuring Sawai’s heritage-rich fragrances become a household name in the North American market.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace Strategy & P&L; Ownership
- Revenue Accountability: Own the end-to-end P&L; for US marketplaces, including top-line revenue, contribution margins, and platform-specific fees.
- GTM Execution: Develop and execute the Go-To-Market strategy for recent product launches in the US, ensuring optimal pricing, positioning, and initial review velocity.
- Growth Roadmaps: Build monthly and quarterly growth plans that balance aggressive customer acquisition with sustainable profitability.
2. Amazon & Walmart Channel Mastery
- Listing Excellence: Own the creation and optimization of SEO-rich product listings, including titles, bullet points, and backend keywords tailored specifically to US search intent.
- A+ Content & Storefronts: Work with the content team to ensure Amazon A+ content and Brand Stores reflect a premium, luxury fragrance aesthetic.
- Account Health: Monitor and maintain "Gold Standard" account health metrics, managing IPI scores, buyer-seller messaging,
and compliance with platform policies.
3. High-Performance Advertising (PPC)
- Campaign Management: Direct and optimize Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display ads to maintain a target ACOS/TACOS.
- Competitor Conquesting: Implement aggressive keyword-bidding strategies to capture market share from competitors in the premium fragrance and essential oil categories.
- DSP & External Traffic: Explore and manage Amazon DSP or external traffic drivers (Social to Amazon) to boost ranking and BSR.
4. Cross-Border Logistics & Inventory Planning
- Demand Forecasting: Coordinate with the Mumbai and Silvassa teams to forecast US demand, ensuring stock is manufactured and shipped in time to avoid stockouts.
- FBA/WFS Management: Manage shipments from India to US 3PLs or Amazon/Walmart fulfilment centers.
- Efficiency: Optimize "Inventory Age" and minimize storage fees through strategic liquidation or promotional pulses.
5. AI-Driven Operations
- Automation: Implement AI tools for automated keyword research, sentiment analysis of customer reviews, and competitive price monitoring.
- Content Scaling: Use LLMs to rapidly iterate on ad copy, A/B test listing titles, and automate routine reporting tasks.
- Sentiment Analysis: Leverage AI to decode "Voice of Customer" data from reviews to inform the R&D; team in India for future product iterations.
Technical Proficiencies & Tools
- Marketplace Core: Amazon Seller Central and Ads (Expert), Walmart Seller Center, eBay.
- Analytics & Research: Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or Viral Launch.
- Advertising Tech: Amazon Advertising Console, Pacvue, or Perpetua.
- AI Stack: ChatGPT/Claude (for SEO & Copy), Midjourney (for creative ideation), and Excel/Google Sheets (Advanced formulas & Pivot Tables).
- Operations: Experience with ERPs and cross-border shipping documentation (ShipStation, etc.).
Core Strengths
- The "Global-Local" Mindset: Ability to translate Indian manufacturing excellence into a brand voice that resonates with US luxury buyers.
- Analytical Rigor: You don’t make guesses; you make data-backed decisions based on click-through rates, conversion rates, and session data.
- Agility: The US marketplace landscape changes weekly (algorithm updates, fee changes); you must be able to pivot strategy instantly.
The Ideal Fit
- You have a proven track record of managing a $1M+ ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) portfolio on Amazon US.
- You are comfortable working hours that overlap with the US East Coast/West Coast to coordinate with partners and monitor live sales events (e.g., Prime Day).
- You have a passion for the fragrance/beauty industry and understand the nuances of selling "scent" through a digital screen.
