Machine Learning Engineer – AI Research

Type: Full-time

Compensation: Up to ₹60 LPA A fast-growing AI-native LegalTech company is looking for a strong Machine Learning Engineer to build the AI core of its platform.

What you’ll work on:

- Train and fine-tune LLMs/deep learning models on domain-specific data.
- Build rigorous model evaluation, benchmarking, and error-analysis frameworks.
- Develop RL/RLHF, DPO, PPO or preference-optimisation pipelines.
- Own experiments end-to-end — from problem definition and data curation to production deployment.
- Work closely with product, engineering and domain experts on high-impact AI problems.

Looking for:

- 3+ years of hands-on ML/deep learning experience.




- Robust experience with LLM fine-tuning/model training.
- Practical experience building ML evaluations and benchmarks.
- Exposure to RLHF/DPO/PPO or similar techniques.
- Strong Python/software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with W&B;, MLflow or similar experiment-tracking tools.
- Comfortable working independently in a high-ownership, fast-paced startup environment.

Compensation: Up to ₹60 LPA, depending on experience. Opportunity: Build foundational AI systems for a category-defining LegalTech product, working directly with experienced AI and legal-domain experts.
