Company Description AWARE India Trust (Awareness for Wo+Men to Advocate their Rights and Equality) is a Chennai-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting equality and human rights. Role Description Legal Training Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The associate will design and deliver training programs on legal rights, gender equality, and protection laws for community members, partners, and internal teams.
Daily responsibilities include preparing training materials, conducting workshops and presentations, facilitating interactive learning sessions, and collecting feedback to improve program effectiveness. The role involves coordinating with legal experts, social workers, and community leaders to ensure trainings are accurate, accessible, and culturally sensitive.

Associate will also document sessions, maintain training records, and support reporting and outreach activities aligned with AWARE India Trust’s mission.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to engage diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Training & Development experience, including curriculum design and facilitation of legal or rights-based education programs.
- Candidates should possess effective Presentation Skills to conduct workshops, seminars, and awareness sessions with clarity and confidence.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to assess training needs, evaluate program outcomes, and refine content based on feedback and data.
- Knowledge of Indian legal frameworks related to human rights, gender equality, and child protection is highly beneficial.
- Experience working with NGOs, community organizations, or social sector initiatives is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Work, Sociology, Human Rights, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English and Tamil, with sensitivity to local cultures and contexts.
