**Leather World is looking for experienced Leather Quality Inspectors in Argentina and Belarus to handle inspection and quality control of leather crust purchased from tanneries.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect leather crust/hides skin-wise before shipment.
- Check grade, selection, colour, substance/thickness and measurements.
- Identify and report defects such as loose grain, scars, cuts, holes, wrinkles, neck defects, belly defects, etc.
- Ensure material meets the agreed quality specifications and purchase orders.
- Check trimming, packing, marking and quantity before dispatch.
- Coordinate with tanneries regarding quality issues, claims and corrective actions.
- Prepare inspection reports with photographs/videos.
- Ensure no open defects or unacceptable material is shipped without approval.
- Coordinate closely with our India team regarding shipment readiness.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience in leather inspection/quality control,



preferably in bovine leather/crust.
- Strong understanding of leather grading and defect identification.
- Experience working with tanneries and leather suppliers.
- Positive communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to independently inspect and approve/reject material.
- Willingness to travel locally to tanneries and warehouses when required.

Preferred: Experience with shoe upper leather / bovine crust and international leather sourcing.**
