About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Risk Management skilled to lead fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, application security, and regulatory risk management for BHIM, one of India's leading UPI payment platforms.

The role will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide risk strategies, strengthening fraud controls, enhancing digital security frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading risk governance for a high-volume digital payments ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Risk & Fraud Management

- Lead end-to-end Risk Management framework for BHIM.
- Drive fraud prevention, fraud detection, fraud investigations, and loss mitigation initiatives.
- Establish and enhance controls across UPI, payments, merchant, and digital channels.
- Monitor emerging fraud trends and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.
- Implement and optimize transaction monitoring systems and fraud analytics tools.

Digital & Application Security





- Partner with technology and security teams to strengthen application security controls.
- Drive device risk monitoring, mobile security, authentication controls, and fraud intelligence programs.
- Evaluate and implement fraud risk solutions, security tools, and emerging technologies.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

- Liaise with regulators and auditors on risk-related matters.
- Lead regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to RBI, NPCI, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Governance & Reporting

- Develop risk dashboards and present key risk insights to senior leadership and Board committees.
- Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and fraud metrics.
- Drive risk governance forums and action tracking.

Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Business, Compliance, and Security teams.
- Work closely with ecosystem partners, banks, fintechs, and payment service providers to strengthen controls.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

- 15+ years of experience in Risk Management, Fraud Prevention, Fraud Strategy, Transaction Monitoring, or Digital Payment Security.
- Experience in Banking, Payments, Fintech, UPI, Cards, Acquiring, Digital Banking, or Financial Services.
- Strong exposure to digital transaction fraud, cyber fraud, payment risks, and fraud investigations.

Education

- MBA / CA / Engineering / Postgraduate Degree from a reputed institution.
- Professional certifications such as CFE, CAMI, FRM, CISSP, or equivalent preferred.
