Role Description The Lead Snowflake Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Snowflake-based data warehouses and data pipelines, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.

The Lead Snowflake

Engineer oversees data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and integration of diverse data sources, collaborating closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectures. Day-to-day activities include leading technical design reviews, performance tuning of queries and storage,



enforcing data governance and security best practices, and mentoring team members on Snowflake and modern data engineering practices. The role also involves documenting solutions, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of data platforms and processes.

Qualifications

- Solid Snowflake expertise, including data warehousing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL/ELT development using tools such as dbt, Informatica, Talend, or similar.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services for data storage and processing.
- Understanding of data governance, security, role-based access control, and compliance in cloud data environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and scalability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data platforms for domains such as finance, HR, manufacturing, or services is an advantage.
