Role Description The Lead Cashier role at NES Hospitality is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.
The Lead
Cashier manages the front counter operations, including processing customer orders, handling cash and digital payments, issuing receipts, and balancing the cash register at the end of shifts. This role includes supervising cashier activities, guiding team members on service standards, and ensuring accurate billing and timely order handling.

Cashier responds to guest inquiries, supports reservation and takeaway processes, and coordinates with the kitchen and serving staff to maintain smooth workflow. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve monitoring POS systems,
maintaining cleanliness and organization at the billing counter, and assisting with basic reporting related to sales and payments.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and digital payment processing, with robust numerical accuracy.
- Customer service skills including courteous communication, conflict resolution, and a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Experience in supervising or leading small teams, including task delegation and coaching in a restaurant or retail setting.
- Organizational skills for managing queues, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and maintaining orderly billing operations.
- Basic computer skills for handling billing software, generating daily reports, and maintaining transaction records.
- Prior experience as a cashier or front-of-house staff in hospitality or food service is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or accounting training is an advantage.
- Consistency, reliability, and integrity in handling funds and sensitive customer information.
