Position Summary

Perform end-to-end due diligence for Current Client Onboarding, Periodic Reviews, and New Extension requests. This includes collating, reviewing, and analyzing client documentation, conducting screenings based on regulatory and compliance guidelines, and evaluating overall client risk profiles.

Main Responsibilities & Duties

Perform KYC due diligence on new client relationships across APAC entities (Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, and Japan).

- Conduct thorough checks for Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and adverse media/news to mitigate reputational risk.
- Liaise and coordinate directly with the Front Office and clients to collect required KYC documentation and information.
- Prepare and escalate complex cases to APAC Financial Security for advice, clarification, or validation.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and KYC knowledge-sharing to junior team members and cross-functional departments.
- Input and maintain static client data and accounts within KYC databases.




- Maintain accurate statistics for timely MIS/ad-hoc reporting and perform periodic KYC status reconciliations.
- Perform ad-hoc screenings and complete additional tasks assigned by the line manager.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance or a related field.

- Experience: 5 to 7 years overall experience, with core expertise in Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) front-to-back KYC/CDD processes, AML/CFT frameworks, and screening/discounting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of APAC regulatory requirements (specifically HKMA, MAS, CBRC, PBOC, PRA, FSC, and FSA).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (MS Excel and PowerPoint); strong Excel skills are highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, strong interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and proven ability to prioritize tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Simplified and Traditional Chinese is an advantage.
