About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Evaluator to join our innovative team at Turing. In this role, you will play a critical part in creating and refining datasets used for training and benchmarking large language models. Your primary focus will involve curating code examples, providing precise solutions, and making necessary corrections across multiple programming languages including Python, C/C++, Rust, Go, Java, and JavaScript (including ReactJS).

You will work closely with AI researchers and cross-functional teams to evaluate AI-generated code, ensuring it meets standards of efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Your insights will directly contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI systems capable of understanding and generating complex code, ultimately pushing the boundaries of intelligent systems and enterprise AI solutions.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have several years of professional software engineering experience,



with a robust background in systems programming, infrastructure, or backend development. Proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Rust, and Go is essential, along with experience in building and deploying scalable, production-grade software using modern tools and frameworks. A deep understanding of software architecture, design principles, debugging, and code review processes is required.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary to articulate evaluation rationales clearly and effectively. Candidates from leading educational institutions or with equivalent practical experience in frontier AI environments are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

- Curate and develop high-quality code examples across multiple programming languages to support AI model training and benchmarking initiatives.
- Evaluate and refine AI-generated code, focusing on correctness, performance, and system-level reliability.
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to enhance AI-driven coding solutions, ensuring they meet industry performance standards.
- Design and implement verification mechanisms that automatically assess solutions to software engineering tasks.
- Build agents capable of verifying the quality of systems-level and infrastructure code, and identifying error patterns.




- Participate in software engineering cycles, including prototyping, architecture design, API development, deployment, and operational maintenance.
- Hypothesize and evaluate model capabilities across various stages of the software development lifecycle, providing actionable insights for improvement.

Benefits While this role is primarily contractual, it offers flexible engagement options to accommodate your schedule, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and up to 40 hours. The position provides an opportunity to work at the forefront of AI research and application, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies. Although this is a contractor role without medical or paid leave advantages, it offers valuable experience and networking opportunities within a leading AI research organization. The duration of the engagement is initially set for one month, with the potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
