What you will own

- Run live online batches at your assigned levels, keeping the class interactive rather than lecture-style, conversation drills, role-plays, pair work and quick-fire quizzes.
- Drive batch outcomes: our benchmark is 80%+ of your regularly attending students clearing their target JLPT level, and 85%+ average attendance across a cohort.
- Teach the full skill set at your levels - grammar, vocabulary, kanji, reading, listening, pronunciation and spoken conversation.
- Assess and correct run regular periodic evaluations, mark written work, and give each learner specific, usable feedback rather than a grade.
- Flag at-risk learners early to the academic team so we can intervene before a student drops off.
- Bring Japan into the room - workplace etiquette, everyday expressions, cultural context that textbooks skip.
- Feed back into the curriculum: tell us which explanations are not landing and help us fix them for every future cohort.

Must have

- JLPT N2 or N1 certification.
- At least 1 year of Japanese language teaching experience - classroom, online or corporate.
- Confident spoken Japanese and a solid working grasp of grammar, kanji and pronunciation, with the ability to explain the "why" behind a rule, not just the rule.
- Comfort teaching online: stable broadband, a working headset, and the ability to hold a virtual room.




- Genuine enjoyment of teaching an interactive class.

One exception: N3 holders are considered only with 3+ years of full-time Japanese teaching experience and a strong demo class.

Valuable to have

- Experience preparing students specifically for JLPT, NAT-TEST or JFT-Basic.
- Time spent living, studying or working in Japan.
- Experience teaching adult or working professionals rather than school students.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools - Canva, Quizlet, Google Workspace, Anki.
