About the Role

- We are looking for a hands-on Electronics & Electrical Engineer with practical experience in IoT device deployment and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
- IoT Device Deployment

· Install and commission IoT devices at manufacturing plants and customer locations.

· Perform device mounting, power connections, wiring, and connectivity setup.

· Configure IoT devices and verify their touchscreen/input functionality.

· Ensure devices are properly connected to the respective machine.

· Perform pre-deployment and post-deployment testing.

· Ensure every installed device is properly mapped to the correct machine.

- Electrical & Electronics Troubleshooting

· Troubleshoot IoT device power and electrical issues.

· Check power supply, wiring, connectors, terminals, sensors, relays, and other components.

· Use a multimeter and other basic testing equipment for diagnosis.

· Identify hardware failures and perform component/device replacement where required.

· Ensure proper grounding/earthing and electrical safety during installation.

· Assist the engineering team in identifying recurring hardware issues.

- IoT Device & Network Connectivity

· Configure and troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity for IoT devices.

· Diagnose:

o Wi-Fi disconnections o Weak signal o IP configuration issues o DHCP/gateway issues o Network restrictions o Intermittent connectivity o Device-to-server communication failures

· Verify that devices are successfully communicating with our central server.

· Coordinate with customer IT teams when network-related issues occur.

- Machine & CNC Connectivity

· Learn and understand how our IoT devices interface with CNC machines.

· Connect IoT devices to CNC machines as per approved installation procedures.

· Troubleshoot machine-side signals and communication issues.





· Verify that machine data is being correctly captured by the IoT device.

· Compare actual machine operation with data received by the IoT system.

· Work with the software/IoT team to identify whether an issue is related to the machine, device, network, or server.

- Field Troubleshooting & Maintenance

· Visit customer/manufacturing sites for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

· Diagnose issues systematically across: Machine → IoT Device → Wi-Fi → Internet/Network → Server

· Perform preventive maintenance of deployed IoT devices.

· Replace faulty devices or hardware components when required.

· Minimize device downtime and ensure quick resolution of field issues.

· Maintain records of device failures, repairs, replacements, and resolutions.

- Touchscreen & Device Interface

· Test touchscreen functionality and device inputs.

· Verify device configuration and user inputs.

· Identify touchscreen, display, input, or software-related device issues.

· Coordinate with the software/embedded team for device-side issues.

- Documentation & Device Tracking

· Maintain device-wise installation and maintenance records.

· Maintain device serial numbers and machine mapping.

· Record device installation location and status.

· Maintain wiring and configuration details.

· Prepare deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting reports.

· Follow company SOPs for installation, maintenance, and reporting.

- Coordination with Internal & Customer Teams

· Work closely with IoT, Embedded, Software, Backend, and Engineering teams.

· Coordinate with customer maintenance, electrical, production, CNC, and IT teams.

· Clearly communicate field issues with appropriate technical information.





· Participate in remote troubleshooting sessions when required.

· Provide feedback to improve IoT device reliability and deployment processes.

Required Technical Skills

Must Have

· Hands-on experience with IoT devices / IoT hardware.

· Practical experience in installation, configuration, or deployment of electronic devices.

· Good understanding of basic electronics and electrical systems.

· Ability to troubleshoot power supply, wiring, connectors, and hardware issues.

· Positive understanding of Wi-Fi and basic networking.

· Knowledge of IP address, DHCP, gateway, DNS, and basic network troubleshooting.

· Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical/electronic tools.

· Ability to read basic wiring diagrams.

· Willingness to travel to customer/manufacturing sites.

· Strong hands-on troubleshooting approach.

Positive to Have

· Experience with industrial IoT devices.

· Experience with PLCs, sensors, automation, embedded systems, or industrial electronics.

· Experience with MQTT, Modbus, RS232/RS485, Ethernet, or similar communication protocols.

· Experience with Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Arduino, Linux-based devices, or similar platforms.

· Basic understanding of APIs or cloud-connected devices.

· Experience working with manufacturing/industrial environments.

· CNC/machine connectivity experience.

CNC experience is an advantage, but NOT mandatory.

Educational Qualification

· B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in:

o Electronics Engineering o Electronics & Communication Engineering o Electrical Engineering o Instrumentation o Mechatronics o Embedded Systems o IoT o Or a related engineering discipline

Experience

Preferred: 1–3 years of hands-on experience with IoT devices, electronics, industrial automation, embedded systems, or field deployment.

Candidates with strong practical IoT experience will be preferred over candidates who have only theoretical knowledge.

Freshers may be considered if they have strong hands-on project experience with IoT hardware and electronics.
