Key Responsibilities Trade Execution & Market Operations

- Execute Primary & Secondary Market Trades: Execute transactions across Government Securities (G-Secs), Treasury Bills (T-Bills), State Development Loans (SDLs), Commercial Papers (CPs), Certificates of Deposit (CDs), and Corporate Bonds with precision.
- Optimize Trade Execution: Monitor intra-day market depth, volume, and order books to achieve the best possible execution prices, minimizing market impact and slippage.
- Manage Cash & Liquidity: Track daily investible cash surpluses and deficits. Execute short-term money market operations (such as TREPS, Repo, and Reverse Repo) to maintain optimum liquidity levels.
- Execute Equity Deals via Voice Broker Network: Execute institutional equity orders in cash segments on the NSE and BSE using standard call-and-trade (voice dealing) channels with empanelled brokers to achieve optimal execution with minimal market impact, managing occasional bulk and block deals efficiently as required.

Counterparty & Broker Relationship Management

- Manage Network Relations: Actively interact with a robust network of primary dealers, brokers, empanelled counterparties, and institutional issuers to source competitive quotes and deal flows.
- Evaluate Primary Issuances: Liaise with merchant bankers and arrangers to gain early access to corporate bond primary issuances and private placements, ensuring favorable allocations.
- Enforce Counterparty Onboarding: Ensure all trading counterparties go through rigorous internal onboarding and credit risk assessments prior to trade initialization.

Market Intelligence & Yield Curve Analysis

- Track Macroeconomic Indicators: Monitor and analyze key domestic and global macroeconomic variables, including RBI monetary policy shifts,



inflation data (CPI/WPI), GDP growth rates, currency movements, and US Treasury yields.
- Analyze Yield Curves: Evaluate the evolution of the sovereign and corporate yield curves to identify mispricings, spread compressions, or steepening/flattening trends that offer tactical investment opportunities.
- Provide Actionable Intelligence: Deliver real-time market color and insights to the Fund Managers and Research team to refine the portfolio's duration and credit allocation strategies.

Regulatory Compliance & Post-Trade Operations

- Enforce Regulatory Mandates: Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory guidelines laid down by IRDAI, SEBI, and RBI, including maintaining the mandated minimum allocation in G-Secs and Infrastructure/Housing bonds.
- Monitor Prudential Exposure Limits: Enforce pre-trade compliance checks regarding issuer-specific, group-specific, and sector-specific exposure limits to prevent regulatory breaches.
- Oversee Post-Trade Workflows: Collaborate with the Treasury Mid-Office and Back-Office teams to ensure smooth trade reporting, deal confirmation, and settlement through CCIL platforms, minimizing operational and settlement risks.

Technical & Skilled Skills

- Trading Systems Mastery: Hands-on operational proficiency with NDS-OM (Negotiated Dealing System - Order Matching),



CBRICS (Corporate Bond Reporting and Integrated Clearing System), and E-Kuber.
- Financial Analytics Platforms: Advanced expertise in navigating Bloomberg terminals (for terminal commands, FIT, and analytics) and Reuters for real-time market data retrieval.
- Industry Standards: Strong understanding of FIMMDA (Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association) market practices, valuation models, and conventions.
- Quantitative Acumen: Proficient in computing bond math fundamentals, including Duration (Macaulay and Modified), Convexity, Yield-to-Maturity (YTM), and credit spread metrics.

Soft Skills & Behavioral Attributes

- Decisiveness Under Pressure: Ability to make split-second, high-stakes trading decisions calmly and logically during periods of extreme market volatility.
- Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven capability to negotiate tight spreads and deal pricing with brokers and counterparties to maximize fund performance.
- Uncompromising Integrity: High commitment to ethical trading standards, market conduct guidelines, and institutional insider trading policies.
- Collaborative Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to clearly articulate market dynamics and pass trade intentions seamlessly across the desk.

Qualifications

- Academic Background: Post Graduate degree in Management (MBA - Finance), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a master's degree in Economics/Finance.
- Professional Certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholders or candidates pursuing the program will have a distinct advantage.
- Regulatory Certifications: NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives Certification) or NISM Series IV (Interest Rate Derivatives Certification) as per regulatory norms.
