Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, customize, and maintain Infor XA / MAPICS applications based on business requirements.
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and modify programs using RPG/RPGLE on the IBM i (AS/400) platform.
- Work with Infor XA modules such as Manufacturing, Inventory, Order Management, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable / Payable, General Ledger, Product Definition, and Production Scheduling.
- Perform enhancements, modifications, interfaces, reports, and batch processing.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Infor XA and third-party systems.
- Work with DB2 for i databases, including SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Analyze application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide production support.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing.
- Prepare technical specifications, design documents, test cases, and support documentation.
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Support system upgrades, patches, migrations, and XA version enhancements.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement, automation, and process optimization.
- Follow development standards, coding guidelines, and change-control procedures.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Infor XA / MAPICS.




- Strong knowledge of IBM i / AS400.
- Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CL/CLLE, and SQL.
- Good knowledge of DB2 for i.
- Experience with Infor XA technical architecture, programs, databases, and customization framework.
- Experience developing interfaces and integrations with external applications.
- Knowledge of batch jobs, job queues, libraries, objects, and IBM i system operations.
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting RPG applications.
- Positive understanding of software development and SDLC processes.
- Familiarity with source control and deployment/change-management processes.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Infor XA upgrades and migrations.
- Knowledge of Infor ION, APIs, web services, or other integration technologies.
- Experience with ERP integrations.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and supply-chain business processes.
- Exposure to modernizing legacy IBM i applications.
- Experience working in Agile or ITIL-based environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
