Primary Teacher (PRT) – Social Studies

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Social Studies lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Grades 4 and 5.
- Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, activities, projects, and teaching-learning resources.
- Make Social Studies concepts interesting and relatable through storytelling, discussions, activities, visuals, maps, projects, and real-life examples.
- Teach concepts related to History, Geography, Civics, culture, setting, and general social awareness as prescribed by the curriculum.
- Encourage students to develop curiosity, critical thinking, observation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Assess student learning through classwork, assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, and other appropriate assessment methods.
- Maintain accurate academic records and regularly monitor students' learning progress.
- Provide additional academic support and remedial assistance to students who require it.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies wherever appropriate.
- Encourage students to participate in discussions, group activities, presentations, and experiential learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress and areas requiring support.
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers and other departments to plan interdisciplinary learning activities.
- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, celebrations, field trips, projects, and other co-curricular activities.
- Follow school policies,



academic guidelines, assessment procedures, and child-safety protocols.
- Contribute to the overall academic and holistic development of students.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related subject.
- B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification.
- CTET qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Relevant teaching experience in a reputed CBSE school is preferred.
- Experience teaching Social Studies at the primary level, particularly Grades 4 & 5, will be an advantage.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and excellent communication and teaching skills may also be considered.
