The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily cleaning operations, inspects guest rooms and public areas, and manages the housekeeping staff to ensure the hotel consistently meets strict hygiene, safety, and brand presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Staff Management: Assign daily cleaning routes and tasks to room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff, conduct morning shift briefings, and monitor attendance.

- Quality Inspections: Inspect a targeted percentage of check-out and stay-over rooms daily to guarantee adherence to cleanliness, luxury presentation, and sanitation checklists.

- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels for linens, uniforms, guest amenities, and cleaning chemicals, submitting requisitions and managing par levels.

- Maintenance Coordination: Identify room or facility defects (e.g., faulty HVAC units, plumbing leaks, damaged furniture) and log work orders with the engineering and maintenance department.

- Training & Development: Onboard new housekeeping team members and provide ongoing coaching on proper chemical handling, ergonomics, and time-efficiency standards.

- Lost and Found Management: Catalog, store, and process inquiries for items left behind by guests in accordance with hotel security protocol.





- Guest Relations: Respond immediately to guest complaints, special requests, or urgent cleaning needs with professionalism and a service-oriented attitude.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping experience in a commercial hotel environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certificate in Hospitality Management or Hotel Administration is preferred.

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) like Opera, HotSOS, or similar tracking software, and knowledge of OSHA and local health/safety regulations.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, push heavy carts, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout a full shift, including flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Competencies: Strong leadership, conflict-resolution, and multi-tasking skills combined with high attention to detail.
