Role Description The Hospital Management Intern role is an on-site internship based in Delhi, India. The intern will support daily administrative and operational activities, including coordinating patient flow, assisting with appointment scheduling, and helping maintain accurate records and documentation.
Responsibilities may include working with hospital management teams on process improvement initiatives, collecting and analyzing operational data, and supporting quality and compliance efforts. The intern will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical staff to enhance patient experience, assist in implementing hospital policies and procedures,
and contribute to special projects related to hospital operations and healthcare programs. This role provides exposure to hospital administration, healthcare management practices, and multi-specialty eye care operations.
Qualifications
- Interest in hospital administration, healthcare management, or a related field, with ongoing or completed studies in Hospital Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or similar disciplines.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities to support daily hospital operations and administrative workflows.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and management teams in a skilled manner.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work with data, understand processes, and suggest improvements.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, presentation tools) and comfort working with hospital information systems.
- Ability to work on-site in Delhi, India, within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating reliability, empathy, and respect for diverse backgrounds.
- Understanding or willingness to learn about healthcare regulations, patient safety, and quality standards in hospital settings.
- Prior exposure to healthcare or hospital environments through coursework, projects, or internships is an advantage but not mandatory.
