Home Nurse / Elderly Caregiver – Private Home

We are looking for a kind, reliable and experienced Home Nurse / Elderly Caregiver to provide dedicated care for an elderly gentleman at his family home in Alappuzha Town.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day personal and supportive care, helping to keep the patient comfortable, safe and well cared for at home.

This role would suit someone with previous experience caring for elderly, bedridden, palliative-care or seriously unwell patients.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing attentive day-to-day care and companionship
- Assisting with feeding, hydration and personal care
- Supporting prescribed medication routines
- Assisting with nebulisation and oxygen support as instructed by the medical team
- Monitoring SpO₂, blood pressure, pulse and general condition
- Helping with positioning and regular turning
- Supporting pressure-sore prevention and skin care
- Maintaining the patient’s comfort, cleanliness and dignity
- Keeping the patient’s immediate care area clean and organised
- Observing changes in the patient’s condition and informing family members promptly
- Following instructions provided by doctors and other healthcare professionals
- Providing compassionate support to the patient and family

Qualifications & Experience GNM,



BSc Nursing or another relevant nursing qualification is preferred but not essential.

Applicants with good practical experience in elderly or home-based patient care will also be considered.

Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

- Elderly and bedridden patient care
- Palliative care
- Hospital or home nursing
- Oxygen-supported patients
- Nebulisation
- Monitoring vital signs
- Pressure-sore prevention and care

What We Are Looking For The most significant qualities are compassion, patience, reliability and genuine experience caring for an elderly person. The candidate should be comfortable working in a private family home and treating the patient with dignity and respect at all times.

Salary: up to ₹33,000 per month

Location: Alappuzha Town
