Role Description The Head of Purchasing at Pegasus is a full time, on-site role based in Noida.

This role is responsible for leading the purchasing function, overseeing end-to-end procurement activities, and ensuring timely availability of materials, products, and services needed for the company’s operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, conducting negotiations, and optimizing purchasing processes to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards.

The Head of Purchasing will collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, product, and finance teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and support new product launches.



This role also includes monitoring market trends, evaluating supplier performance, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in Purchasing Processes and Purchasing, with a proven ability to design, implement, and improve procurement workflows.
- Demonstrated expertise in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, including demand planning, inventory control, and vendor performance management.
- Advanced Supplier Negotiation skills, with experience securing favorable terms while maintaining long-term, collaborative supplier partnerships.
- Experience in leading purchasing or procurement teams, with the ability to coach, develop, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, budgeting, and cost-optimization skills, supported by strong attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with operations, product development, and finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is an advantage.
- Experience in consumer products, education, or children’s wellbeing sectors is beneficial, along with familiarity with ethical sourcing and sustainability practices.
