Role Description The Head of Engineering is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Abroad. This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, development, and maintenance of the company’s technology platforms and tools that support immigration consulting and client services. The role includes leading and mentoring engineering teams, setting technical standards, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of systems.

The Head of Engineering collaborates with business and operations stakeholders to translate consulting needs into technical solutions, prioritize product roadmaps, and manage project timelines and budgets. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing architecture and code quality, optimizing system performance,



implementing best practices in DevOps and cybersecurity, and driving continuous improvement across engineering processes.

Qualifications

- Strong software engineering and architecture skills, including experience designing scalable, secure web applications and backend services.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams, including mentoring, performance management, and building team-oriented, inclusive work environments.
- Experience with product development and technical project management, including roadmap planning, requirement gathering, and agile delivery.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, version control, and CI/CD tools to ensure reliable deployment and operations.
- Understanding of data privacy, information security, and compliance considerations relevant to handling client and immigration-related data.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or customer-facing technology solutions is an advantage.
