Role Overview
Our Client is looking for a energetic Head Human Resources based at Bangalore and will serve as a strategic executive leader overseeing the entire HR function for a highly reputed group of companies across the retail and manufacturing sectors. Based at the corporate office in Bangalore, this leadership role is responsible for driving HR strategy, organizational development, and compliance for a large workforce of over 1,000 employees across corporate headquarters and multiple branches throughout Karnataka.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Formulate and execute a cohesive HR strategy that aligns with the groups overarching business goals in both retail and manufacturing.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Board and C-suite on organizational design, succession planning, and executive leadership.
- Champion corporate culture and values across diverse corporate, retail, and plant workforces.
Talent Management & Organization Development
- Design and implement robust talent acquisition strategies tailored to both high-turnover retail environments and highly skilled manufacturing setups.
- Build scalable performance management systems, linking KPIs to business performance and rewards.
- Lead capability building, leadership development, and learning programs across all levels.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations (IR)
- Oversee employee engagement initiatives across corporate offices and retail branches to ensure high retention.
- Mitigate institutional risks by establishing proactive grievance redressal mechanisms.
- Ensure harmonious employee relations,
bridging the cultural differences between corporate professionals, retail staff, and frontline workers.
Compliance, Compensation & Benefits
- Standardize compensation, rewards, and benefits structures across the group to ensure market competitiveness.
- Proven experience with Indian labor laws, Shops & Establishment Act and Factories Act
Candidate Profile : Experience & Background
- 20 to 25 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 8 to 10 years in a principal HR leadership capacity in a reputed organisation blended with retail and manufacturing industries in Karnataka.
- Demonstrable experience managing a large, distributed workforce of 1,000+ employees.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Command over the local language Kannada mandatory for regional branch operations.
Education & Qualifications
- Required: Full-time MBA or Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources from a premier institution.
- Preferred: An additional degree in Law (LL.B. / LL.M.) with a strong grasp of employment legislation.

- Deep expertise in strategic HR planning, workforce scaling, and change management.
- Sharp business acumen with the ability to interpret financial and operational metrics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
