DDU-GKY GDA Trainer –

Position: General Duty Assistant (GDA) Trainer

Project: DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana)

Location: Jammu & Kashmir

Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct classroom and practical training for GDA/Healthcare Assistant trainees as per the approved curriculum.
- Teach basic healthcare, patient care, hygiene, nutrition and safety procedures.
- Provide practical demonstrations on:
- Patient hygiene and personal care
- Bed making and patient positioning
- Vital signs monitoring
- Basic patient assistance
- Infection prevention and control
- First aid and emergency response
- Safe handling and movement of patients
- Train students in communication skills, patient interaction and professional behaviour.
- Conduct practical sessions and assess trainees' skills and performance.
- Maintain daily attendance, lesson plans, assessment records and other required documentation.
- Prepare trainees for internal assessments and final certification.
- Identify weak trainees and provide additional guidance and practical support.
- Maintain discipline and a secure learning environment in the training centre.




- Coordinate with the Centre Manager and MIS team regarding trainee progress and performance.
- Support placement activities by preparing trainees for interviews and workplace requirements.
- Ensure training is conducted according to DDU-GKY/SSC-approved standards and centre requirements.

Eligibility:

- Relevant qualification in GDA/Healthcare/Patient Care/Nursing or allied healthcare field as prescribed for the concerned job role.
- Relevant industry/training experience preferred.
- Good communication and teaching skills.
- Practical knowledge of patient care and basic healthcare procedures.
- Knowledge of MS Office/documentation is an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
