About The Role

Join Data Eminence as a remote Game Developer and help design, develop, and optimize engaging interactive gaming experiences. You'll work on gameplay systems, game mechanics, user interactions, performance optimization, and debugging. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates with strong programming fundamentals, creativity, and an interest in game development.

Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, Software Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience of 0-2 years in game development, internships, or relevant projects is preferred. Strong programming fundamentals are essential, with familiarity in languages such as C#, C++, or similar.

Candidates should have basic knowledge of game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot, along with an understanding of game development concepts and gameplay mechanics. Familiarity with object-oriented programming, game physics, collision detection, and animation concepts is beneficial. Good debugging and problem-solving skills,



along with experience using version control systems like Git, are required.

Knowledge of 2D/3D development, multiplayer networking, mobile game development, or tools like Blender is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment are vital.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement gameplay mechanics and features that enhance user engagement.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to support game functionalities.
- Work with popular game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms to build immersive experiences.
- Implement player controls, interactions, animations, and core game systems.
- Integrate 2D and 3D assets into game environments, ensuring seamless visual and functional integration.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and other developers to translate game concepts into functional prototypes and final products.
- Work on game physics, collision detection, and object interactions to ensure realistic and responsive gameplay.
- Debug and resolve gameplay and technical issues efficiently to maintain smooth player experiences.
- Optimize game performance, memory usage, and responsiveness across various devices and platforms.
- Implement user interface elements, menus, scoring systems, and game progression features.




- Integrate audio, visual effects, and other game components to enhance overall game quality.
- Conduct thorough testing of gameplay features, identify bugs, and implement necessary fixes.
- Maintain documentation of game systems, technical implementations, and development processes for future reference and team collaboration.
- Support game builds, releases, and post-release updates to improve player experience and fix emerging issues.
- Stay updated with emerging game development technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continually enhance skills and project quality.
