DeskBuddy is an AI-powered business communication platform helping businesses manage customer interactions through Voice AI, WhatsApp, conversational AI, AI agents, CRM, and workflow automation. We are a growing 10-person startup focused on building practical AI systems that solve real business problems and are used by real customers.

Important: This is a 3-month full-time unpaid internship. Based on performance, ownership, and contribution during the internship, there may be an opportunity to transition into a paid full-time role after 3 months. A paid role is not guaranteed.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Full Stack Engineer Intern at DeskBuddy. You will work directly on the production product and contribute across both frontend and backend development.

You will build and ship real features involving React/Next.js, Node.js, APIs, databases, AI/LLM integrations, Voice AI, WhatsApp APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and real-time systems.

The role provides an opportunity to work on features end-to-end, from understanding requirements and designing solutions to development, testing, deployment, and production support.



You will work closely with the engineering and product teams and have significant ownership over what you build.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of software development and full-stack engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with React.js and Node.js.
- Understanding of REST APIs, databases, and backend development.
- Familiarity with Git and cooperative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to independently learn and work with unfamiliar technologies.
- Strong ownership and willingness to take responsibility for features from development to deployment.
- Interest in AI, LLMs, conversational AI, Voice AI, or automation.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Personal projects, GitHub contributions, or previous development experience are highly valued.
