Company Description CognoSales is an Automotive Revenue Operations (RevOps) platform that connects CRM, analytics, marketing, sales, and customer communications into a unified ecosystem. The platform replaces traditional, disconnected dealership systems with tools that deliver clear visibility into customer sources, effective marketing channels, and true ROI performance. By centralizing data and workflows, CognoSales helps automotive businesses make informed decisions and improve operational efficiency.

Role Overview

We're hiring a full-time, full-stack developer to join the core engineering team building

CognoSales. This is a hands-on role: you'll ship features across the React frontend and FastAPI backend, work directly in a production system serving live dealership customers, and take ownership of entire modules rather than isolated tickets.

Employment type: Full Stack Engineer (Full time - 6 Months Contract)

Level: Mid to senior - a few years of professional software development experience required

Salary: ₹60,000 - ₹75,000 per month, based on experience and skillset.

What You'll Work On

- CRM - lead/customer management, an AI assistant panel, deal pipelines
- Conversations - a multi-channel inbox unifying SMS, email, WhatsApp, Messenger, and
- Instagram (Twilio + Meta integrations)
- Chatbot - both a human-agent ("live") mode and an OpenAI + pgvector-grounded AI mode, with
- Rasa NLP in the mix
- Email & SMS marketing - Celery-driven async batch sending, AI-assisted email generation
- Inventory management - vehicle data, feeds, and import pipelines
- Analytics & reporting - a Cube-based semantic layer powering dashboards and an analytics
- chatbot
- Auth & account management - JWT-based auth, per-tenant role/tool permissions

You'll typically work across the full stack on a given feature: a FastAPI router and SQLAlchemy models on the backend,

a React page or component on the frontend, and an Alembic migration to tie it together.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and ship full-stack features end to end - from schema/migration through API to UI - following existing patterns rather than introducing new ones
- Write clean, typed, maintainable Python (SQLAlchemy 2.0, Pydantic, FastAPI) and React (TypeScript/JSX) code
- Work within a strict multi-tenant data model - every feature must respect dealership-level data isolation
- Debug and fix production issues in a live, revenue-generating SaaS product
- Collaborate on schema design and review Alembic migrations, keeping the migration chain as the source of truth for the database schema
- Integrate with third-party APIs (Twilio, Meta, SendGrid, OpenAI, Google Ads/Merchant Center)
- Read and extend an established, fairly large codebase - matching existing conventions, component composition, and visual design language rather than reinventing them
- Participate in code review and help keep the codebase's test coverage growing over time.

Required Qualifications

- A few years of qualified, production software development experience - this is not an entry-level or learning-to-code role
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with React (hooks, component composition, client-side state)
- Experience with FastAPI and building REST APIs
- Solid working knowledge of SQL and an ORM (SQLAlchemy or equivalent),

including schema migrations (Alembic or equivalent)
- Comfort with PostgreSQL in a real production setting
- Git proficiency and experience working in a shared, actively developed codebase
- Ability to work independently, read existing code carefully before changing it, and ship correct, well-scoped changes without excessive hand-holding
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g.

Claude

Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of a daily development workflow - this team develops with AI-assisted tooling as standard practice, not an occasional aid.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture
- Experience with Celery or another async task queue backed by Redis
- Experience integrating Twilio (SMS/WhatsApp/Conversations) or Meta messaging APIs (Messenger/Instagram)
- Experience building features on top of LLM APIs (OpenAI/Anthropic), especially retrieval-grounded (RAG/pgvector) or agentic patterns
- Familiarity with WebSocket/real-time systems (Socket.io or similar)
- Experience with Radix UI, shadcn/ui, or comparable component libraries
- Exposure to semantic data layers or analytics/BI tooling (e.g. Cube)
- Prior experience in automotive retail, dealership software, or CRM products
- Experience with GCP and Cloud SQL

Interview Process The interview process will consist of two rounds:

- Round 1 - Initial Interview: A conversation to learn more about the candidate's career history, professional experience, technical skills, and previous projects.
- Round 2 - Take-Home Coding Project: A short take-home project designed to assess the candidate's coding abilities, problem-solving approach, code quality, and ability to work with the technologies relevant to the role.
