Role Description

This is a full time remote role for a French Language Instructor at House of Polyglots. The instructor will be responsible for conducting live online French fluency classes and helping learners develop confidence in real-world French communication.

The role involves guiding students across different proficiency levels and using interactive, practical teaching methods to strengthen their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Responsibilities include designing or adapting lesson plans, conducting engaging live sessions, providing structured feedback, assessing learner progress, and maintaining accurate performance records.

The instructor will collaborate closely with the academic team to improve curriculum content, support learners with their fluency goals and study-abroad or examination preparation, and ensure a structured, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

Important:



As our live classes are primarily conducted during evening hours, the candidate must be available to conduct regular evening classes and should be comfortable working according to the scheduled evening batches.

Qualifications

- Minimum C1-certified proficiency in French is mandatory.
- Strong command of spoken and written French with excellent pronunciation and communication skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Prior experience teaching French online or in-person, preferably in a fluency-focused learning environment.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, learner assessment, and providing constructive feedback.
- Ability to conduct engaging and interactive live online classes.
- Comfortable using digital teaching tools, video conferencing platforms, and online learning technologies.
- Relevant academic background in French, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certifications such as DELF, DALF, FLE, or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
- Availability for evening classes is mandatory, as the majority of our live batches are scheduled during evening hours.
- Comfortable working with diverse age groups and learner profiles with a learner-centric and inclusive teaching approach.
- Strong organizational skills, time management, punctuality, and reliability in a full-time remote role.
- Passion for language learning, education, and helping learners achieve their fluency, study-abroad, and career goals.
