Freelance Biostatistician
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freelance Biostatistician to support clinical research, medical research, and publication-oriented projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in biostatistical analysis, meta-analysis, clinical research methodologies, and statistical reporting, with the ability to independently manage project-based assignments and deliver high-quality analytical outputs within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analysis of clinical, observational, epidemiological, and research datasets.
- Develop and implement Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) in accordance with study objectives and protocols.
- Conduct appropriate statistical tests and advanced analyses based on study design and research questions.
- Perform systematic reviews and meta-analyses, including data extraction support, effect-size calculation, heterogeneity assessment, subgroup/sensitivity analyses, and interpretation of pooled results.
- Support publication-oriented statistical analyses for research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.
- Interpret statistical findings and present results in a clear, scientifically appropriate manner.
- Prepare statistical tables, figures, graphs, and analytical summaries for reports and publications.
- Review datasets for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and potential statistical issues.
- Collaborate with Clinical Research, Medical Writing, Data Management, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment between study objectives, analysis, and reporting.
- Independently manage assigned projects and communicate analytical requirements, progress, findings, and deliverables effectively.
- Ensure statistical analyses and reporting are conducted according to applicable research standards and good scientific practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
- Proven qualified experience in biostatistics, preferably within clinical research or healthcare research.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies and their practical application in clinical and research settings.
- Hands-on experience with meta-analysis and systematic review methodologies is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in one or more statistical software/tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, Stata, or equivalent.
- Good understanding of clinical trials, observational studies, epidemiological research, and research methodologies.
- Experience in statistical interpretation and preparation of publication-ready results.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and scientific reporting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality project-based assignments within defined timelines.
Preferred Skills
- Strong experience in systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
- Knowledge of effect measures such as Odds Ratio (OR), Risk Ratio (RR), Hazard Ratio (HR), Mean Difference (MD), and Standardized Mean Difference (SMD).
- Experience with heterogeneity assessment, forest plots, funnel plots, publication bias, subgroup analysis, and sensitivity analysis.
- Familiarity with ICH-GCP and relevant clinical research standards.
- Experience supporting manuscripts, research publications, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.
- Prior experience working with CROs, clinical research organizations, academic research groups, or healthcare/pharmaceutical projects.
- Prior freelance or project-based consulting experience is preferred.

Project-Based | As per project scope, complexity, and experience
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
