With 6M+ downloads, 143K+ ratings and users across 106+ countries, MagTapp is already a live consumer product available on iOS and Android.

MagTapp started with Visual Meaning, helping people understand words and concepts through visual and simpler explanations. We are now taking that idea further with AI, helping users understand webpages, PDFs, images, documents and complex information.

We are now building the next generation of MagTapp with new AI capabilities, monetisation, continuous product development and expansion into web and desktop.

The RoleWe are looking for a Founding Full-Stack Engineer / Product Engineer who can take ownership of the existing product and help build what comes next.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is strong in one area but comfortable working across the entire product stack.

You will work across

- Flutter and mobile applications
- Backend development
- AWS and cloud infrastructure
- REST APIs
- Databases
- Authentication
- Payments and subscriptions
- Production debugging
- Basic DevOps
- AI integrations

You will initially become one of the key technical owners of MagTapp while we build a larger engineering team as the company scales. What You'll Do

- Take ownership of the existing MagTapp application and backend.
- Build and ship new product features continuously.
- Help launch MagTapp's upcoming subscription and payment model.
- Improve application performance, reliability and scalability.




- Understand and optimise the existing AWS infrastructure.
- Build and integrate APIs and third-party services.
- Debug and resolve production issues.
- Help prepare the technology stack for future web, desktop and AI capabilities.
- Work closely with the product and business teams to turn ideas into shipped products.

What We're Looking For

- 3–6 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong experience with Flutter/Dart or backend engineering.
- Practical experience across the broader full-stack environment.
- Good understanding of AWS.
- Experience with APIs, databases and authentication.
- Experience working with production applications.
- Payment/subscription experience is a strong plus.
- Basic DevOps understanding.
- Robust problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.

We are looking for a T-shaped engineer: Strong in one area + capable across the entire product stack.

You don't need to know everything.

You need to be someone who can figure things out.
