The Role:

As a Forward-Deployed Engineer Intern, you turn the hardest enterprise integration problems into production-grade systems on our agentic platform. You’ll take ambiguous, real-world requirements; messy APIs; undocumented systems; and edge cases nobody anticipated and reason from first principles to ship production-grade integrations.

You’re a curious, hands-on builder with a customer-first mindset and a real passion for AI already on the frontier of agentic tooling and vibe coding and eager to point that energy at real customer problems. You think like a solutions engineer: the goal isn’t to build; it’s to solve. Mostly delivery,



with time as the technical engine behind our highest-stakes POCs — and the patterns you uncover shape the platform itself.

- Team: Small, high-calibre technical team working directly with architects, product, and founders.
- Building: Agentic AI workflows, connectors, and high-throughput integration pipelines.
- You’ll work with integration leaders and engineering teams at high-growth SaaS companies and Fortune 500 enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

- Solve real-world integration problems across APIs, enterprise systems, and third-party applications.
- Build AI-powered and agentic workflows using LLMs, tool calling, and orchestration.
- Develop and debug integrations, data transformations, and automation workflows.
- Work with engineering and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and build technical solutions.
- Support customer POCs and deployments by building, testing, and validating integrations.
- Identify recurring customer problems and help turn them into reusable product capabilities.
- Document integration patterns, technical learnings, and solutions for future use.
- Work closely with founders, engineers, architects, and product teams to improve the Refold platform.
- Experiment with new AI tools and technologies to solve problems faster and more effectively.

Required Skills & Abilities:

- Strong fundamentals in software engineering and computer science.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- A solid understanding of APIs, HTTP, JSON, authentication, and data transformation.




- Curiosity about how systems work under the hood.
- The ability to take an ambiguous problem and break it into smaller, solvable pieces.
- A willingness to read documentation, experiment, debug, and figure things out independently.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Positive communication skills and the ability to explain technical problems clearly.
- A bias towards building and shipping, rather than endlessly planning.

Nice to Have:

- Built projects involving LLMs, AI agents, RAG, tool calling, or AI automation.
- Experience with APIs or integrating multiple services.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, SDKs, databases, or message queues.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker or containerised applications.
- Experience with automation platforms such as Zapier, Workato, Make, n8n, or similar tools.
- Experience working with systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, NetSuite, ServiceNow, or other enterprise software.
- Experience at a startup, hackathon, open-source project, or developer community.
- A portfolio of projects, GitHub repositories, or side projects that demonstrate your ability to build.
