Role Description The Full Data Engineer (FDE) at Datacolor AI is a full-time remote role focused on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and platforms that support analytics and AI solutions. In this position, the FDE collaborates with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand requirements, model data, and ensure reliable, scalable data flows across multiple systems. Day-to-day work includes developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, integrating data from various sources, and implementing best practices for data quality, governance, and security.

The FDE also monitors performance, troubleshoots issues,



and participates in code reviews and architectural discussions to improve the overall data stack. This role involves continuous learning, documentation, and contribution to standards that help deliver trusted, production-ready AI and analytics outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

- Strong data engineering skills, including experience with ETL/ELT development, data pipeline orchestration, and working with large-scale data platforms (e.g., cloud data warehouses or data lakes).
- Proficiency in programming and scripting for data work, such as Python, SQL, and related data processing frameworks or libraries.
- Knowledge of contemporary data architectures and tools, including data modeling, integration patterns, and best practices for reliability and scalability.
- Understanding of analytics and AI workflows, and ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists and analytics stakeholders.
- Experience with data quality, governance, and security practices, including implementing validation, monitoring, and access controls.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in consulting or client-facing technical roles, and familiarity with agile delivery methods, is a plus.
