Role Description The Fashion Designer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement based in Mumbai, with some flexibility for work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing and developing collections, creating sketches and technical drawings, selecting fabrics and trims, and collaborating with pattern makers and production teams. The role involves designing garments that reflect The Riti’s focus on body positivity and empowerment, ensuring inclusive fits and diverse styles.

The Fashion

Designer will participate in fittings, refine designs based on feedback,



and oversee embroidery and textile details to maintain brand quality and aesthetics. The position also includes researching trends, preparing mood boards, and supporting photoshoots and marketing content to present collections effectively.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to create inclusive and empowering collections.
- Knowledge of Textiles, including fabric types, properties, and appropriate use in women’s apparel.
- Experience with Embroidery and decorative techniques for enhancing garment design.
- Proficiency in Fitting, garment construction understanding, and translating design concepts into wearable pieces.
- Relevant education in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to use design software and tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CAD) for sketches and technical specs.
- Robust attention to detail, creativity, and a clear alignment with values of body positivity and empowerment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setting.
