Role Description As a Fashion Designer at PatternAI, you will translate imaginative concepts into garments, textiles, and collections that reflect the studio’s experimental vision. In this full-time hybrid role based in India, you will spend part of your time working on-site with the team and part of your time working from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing mood boards and sketches, selecting fabrics and textures, creating patterns, overseeing fittings, and refining designs based on creative direction and feedback.

You will collaborate with embroidery and textile specialists, work closely with production partners, and ensure that final pieces meet aesthetic, functional,



and quality standards. The role also involves documenting concepts, preparing presentation materials, and staying informed about emerging fashion trends and innovative techniques.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, including conceptual development and collection planning.
- Proficiency in Embroidery and Textiles, with the ability to select, combine, and experiment with materials and surface techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Fitting and garment construction, ensuring comfort, accurate sizing, and high-quality finishing.
- Relevant academic background in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to sketch and use basic design tools; familiarity with digital design software is an advantage.
- Creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and openness to experimental and subconscious-inspired design approaches.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid setup and manage time independently.
- A portfolio demonstrating original fashion design work, including garments, textiles, or conceptual projects.
