Role Description The Fabrication Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, responsible for supervising day-to-day structural steel fabrication activities and ensuring production targets and delivery schedules are achieved.

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 per month

Salary will be based on relevant experience, technical skills and overall suitability for the role.

The role involves planning and coordinating fabrication activities, allocating tasks to fabrication teams, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to quality, welding, safety and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise structural steel fabrication activities on the shop floor.
- Allocate manpower and coordinate fit-up, welding, cutting, drilling and assembly activities.
- Monitor production progress against daily and project-level targets.
- Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved drawings,



specifications and welding procedures.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy, fit-up and overall fabrication quality.
- Coordinate with QC, engineering and production teams to resolve shop-floor issues.
- Maintain production records and report daily progress.
- Identify bottlenecks, minimize rework and improve shop-floor productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.
- Train, guide and mentor fabrication teams to maintain high performance.

Qualifications & Experience

- 3–10 years of relevant experience in structural steel fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Civil or a related discipline will be preferred.
- Strong practical understanding of structural steel fabrication and welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Experience in supervising fitters, welders and fabrication manpower.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection, quality requirements and welding procedures.
- Solid leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
